1. Nike was criticized for its use of the Beatles song "Revolution" in a 1987 commercial against the wishes of Apple Records, the Beatles' recording company. Nike paid US$250,000(RS. 32,50000 in 1987) to Capitol Records Inc., which held the North American licensing rights to the recordings, for the right to use the Beatles' rendition for a year.


2. Nike, originally known as Blue Ribbon Sports (BRS), was founded by University of Oregon track athlete Phil Knight and his coach, Bill Bowerman, on January 25, 1964.




3. Niketown London is worlds largest shop of Nike with area of 42000 square feet, located in Oxford Circus, has acquired iconic status with Londoners and visitors alike since it opened as one of the city’s first brand retail experiences in 1999. 





4A pair of 1972 Nike running shoes became the most expensive sneakers ever sold at auction, fetching $475,500 at Sotheby’s(Sotheby is One of the world's largest brokers of fine and decorative art )
The sneakers were purchased by Canadian entrepreneur Miles Nadal and were part of a collection of 100 of the rarest sneakers ever made that was being sold by Sotheby’s and sneaker marketplace Stadium Goods.

5. The Air Jordan 1 was made famous by basketball player Michael Jordan; however, Jordan hated the colours red and black when he first saw the shoes.
